Mano River Union Ecosystems Conservation and International Water Resource Management

The Forestry Development Authority (FDA) hired TNC as National Consultant to develop a National Action Plan (NAP) and Investment Plan (IP) of the Mano, Moa/Makona & Cavalla Basins under the GEF/MRU funded Ecosystems Conservation and International Water Resource Management (IWRM) Project. The developed NAP ad IP proposes solution in the form of activities and cost aimed to address the transboundary problems identified during the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis in the Mano River Union Basins which were prioritized as:
1) Deforestation
2) Degradation of Water Quality
3) Loss of Biodiversity
4) Erosion of Soil
5) Riverbanks and Water Sources
6) Climate Change
7) Gender, and Governance.
