Innovative Approaches to Combat Climate-Induced Food Insecurity

Status: Completed

The project, funded by CI-GEF under the Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) Small Grant, improved food security and livelihoods for one hundred and thirty (130) households (direct beneficiaries) with seven hundred and eighty (780) indirect beneficiaries in 5 cluster communities (Cestos, Kporkor Point, Neegbah, Timbo and Zeo/Zauh) in Rivercess County.

The project was implemented through the adoption of climate-resilient agricultural practices, enhanced community capacity for resource management, and the utilisation of innovative techniques to address climate-induced challenges.

The overarching goal of this project was to combat climate-induced food insecurity in targeted communities in Rivercess County through innovative, actionable, sustainable, and scalable solutions while improving forest and biodiversity conservation practices in the targeted areas.
