This Title of the Liberian Code of Statutes provides with respect to a wide array of matters concerning public health, including, among other things, animal diseases, communicable diseases, (veterinary) drugs, environmental sanitation, hygiene in food establishments, control of parasites and mosquitoes, placing on the market of food, freshwater pollution and drinking water.

Animals may be kept in quarantine for health purposes. Diseases in animals shall be reported. Restrictions may be placed on the importation of animals. Sale of veterinary medicines shall be controlled under this Law. As regards foods, certain provisions concern hygienic standards for the handling of food. Others prohibit the placing on the market of adulterated food (defined).
