Today, The Nature Compact joined Conservation and Environmental partners to celebrate the International Day of Biodiversity with students. Held in the auditorium of the University of Liberia, the event targeted students from secondary schools in Monrovia, with celebration also across the country.
This year’s theme is “From Agreement to Action: Build back Biodiversity”, served as a platform to discuss progress, challenges and opportunities while achieving biodiversity conservation outcomes focusing on an intersectoral approach integrated in coordination and partnership.
This year, we targeted “students” by providing information on biodiversity that is simplistic, relevant, aimed at stimulating interest, and developing future conservation champions.
We have made progress, and we must accelerate progress to ensure the protection and management of our natural capital.
