Remaining committed to Building Capacity for Climate Resilience, Sustainable Agriculture, and Biodiversity Conservation in the Cestos-Senkwein Landscape:
This week, The Nature Compact with funding from Conservation International under its Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) initiative, engaged and distributed farming materials for more than 130 farmers we have trained across the Neegba, Cestos, Burkor Point, and Timbo clusters in Rivercess County.
We are excited that the distributed farming implements will support the farmers in their quest to actualise their Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and Farming as a Business (FaaB) training we recently conducted with the aim of conserving biodiversity, protecting mangroves and supporting communities in the Cestos–Senkwehn landscape.
The farmers expressed great enthusiasm about the new skills and techniques learned—marking a strong step toward sustainable agriculture and resilient rural livelihoods.
