Environmental-conservation Education.

Liberia is taking a major step toward strengthening environmental-conservation education.

Yesterday in Sinkor, The Nature Compact with partners #WCF, SCNL FTI, RSPB Libassa under the EU-funded PROBIO Project, convened national stakeholders to advance a standardized Environmental Conservation Curriculum for secondary schools.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, EPA, and FDA, the engagement reviewed existing EC approaches, validated a draft national framework, and agreed on clear next steps for integration into the national curriculum.

The Impact: We are excited be leading the alignment of a fragmented environmental-conservation education efforts into one national framework - a process endorsed by the Government of Liberia.

The Outcome: We have a viable partnership in place that is forming a strong pathway toward embedding environmental conservation awareness, stewardship, and skills in Liberia’s education system, ultimately shaping environmentally responsible future leaders.

We areoptimistic that this process will help us build the foundation for long-term biodiversity protection through education in Liberia.
