With funding from the Swedish Embassy through the FAO’s Community Based Forest Management project implemented by TNC, we have been able to work with 3 communities on the boundary demarcation activities as part of the Forestry Development Authority’s 9Steps. These community forests are located in Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount Counties.
We are happy that communities are being empowered to know the boundaries of their respective community forests and this will ultimately facilitate more engagement and participation in forest governance activities.
